To develop diving skills safely students are taught in confined water. Confined water means water shallow enough to stand. In our case, The Adventure Club conducts it’s confined water training at the beach. During confined water training the instructors demonstrate how to perform each skill and then the student practices the skill until they are comfortable with them. Skills start with the easiest first, such as learning to breathe, how to equalize, how to clear a mask underwater and familiarity of the equipment. As the student improves, additional skills are taught such as neutral buoyancy, swimming techniques and safety procedures.
