A Choice of Two Great Wrecks Plus Upgrades

One of the most exhilarating attractions to scuba diving is diving underwater wrecks. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course focuses on the different skills required to safely dive wrecks and other underwater artificial reefs. Some students may already have done 1 or more Adventure Wreck dives, so a full course isn’t necessary. The full specialty outline includes 4 wreck dives. These include dives at the Kled Gaeow Wreck, King Cruiser Wreck and dives at the Artificial Reef.
The Wreck Specialty course is subject to conditions and currents and is only offered on certain dates to be confirmed

CERTIFICATION

Awarded a ‘Gold’ PADI Wreck Diver Specialty certificate permits the diver to rent scuba diving equipment and to participate in a variety of wreck dives including wreck dives that moght require penetration into the vessel.

PADI eLearning

This course includes PADI eLearning. Students can study the PADI eLearning and watch the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty video prior to arrival so you can study for this course in an easy and relaxed way. Theory for this specialty takes around 3-4 hours.

SMALL GROUPS

We allow only four students per instructor. This allows us to maximize the level of training for each individual student and provide a personal experience for each student. Each student is always under the direct supervision of a PADI Scuba Instructor.

4 WRECK DIVES

The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course consists of 4 Wreck training Dives. Our program will include dives at the Kled Gaeow Wreck and the King Cruiser Wreck. Due to remoteness and environmental conditions these dive sties are only offered when teh conditions a re suitbale so candidates should contact us to see when we can schedule this course.

WHAT DO WE SEE

The Kled Gaeow Wreck is a 50 meter ex-navy vessel and was purposely sank as an Artificial Reef in April 2014. It is now covered in marine life which include huge schools of yellow snappers, and marauding trevallies. Opportunistic hunters such as lionfish, scorpionfish lie in wait.The King Cruiser Wreck is a famous 85 meter passenger car/ferry that sank on May 4, 1997 after hitting Anemone reef. It now lies upright at 33-36 meters depth. Closely located to Shark Point Phuket and Anemone Reef, it is often dived as part of the same trip as the other sites
The Phi Phi ley Artificial Reef is a perfect site to perform a simulated wreck training dive where we can run wreck diving scenarios and offers it own exclusive wonders. This 100 meter artificial reef was installed in 2006 and later expanded in 2014.
