Our Phi Phi Ley Tour is one of our most exciting snorkeling excursions. This tour takes in all the best sites around Phi Phi Ley Island and with the aid of our snorkeling guides we will show you the amazing marine life that inhabits our reefs.

Our small group sizes ensure a custom experience, allowing you to fully appreciate this spectacular island. The guides will ensure that all guests are catered for according to their experience to ensure safety and a quality of service seldom found on a snorkeling tour.

Duration – 4 hours

CHOICE OF START TIMES

  • We offer two trips per day.
    The morning trip starts at 0700 h and is great for avoiding the late rush of visitors and will also get you back in time if you are planning on heading back to the mainland in the afternoon.
    The afternoon trip at 1400h will allow visitors that arrive to Phi Phi Island in the morning, to jump straight away on a same-day trip. Finishes at around sunset.

MONITORING and TRAINING

Regardless of how much experience you have it is our objective at The Adventure Club to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the use of their snorkeling equipment and skills. This ensures:

  • We protect the coral and marine-life
  • Guests feel comfortable and safe
  • Snorkelers see more because they can manage their snorkeling equipment properly

SMALL GROUPS

We allow only seven person per group which is guided by one of our divemasters or instructors. For large private groups or families, we are able to accept more than 7 persons.

Being in a small group allows us to provide a more personal experience and we can visit places away from the larger crowds. We can also customize the trips to include special requests whenever possible.

VIKING BAY

  • The trip visits Viking Bay. This is a great spot for snorkeling. here we spend a good 30 – 45 minutes exploring the coral reef. There is a chance to see small black-tip reef sharks and occasionally the resident turtles will come up to the surface for a breath of air.

PILEH BAY

  • The next stop is in Pileh bay. This shallow bay located on the east side of Phi Phi Ley is truly breathtaking. Entering the narrow bay reveals a bowl-shaped lagoon. Here the guests can spend some time to relax and take in how beautiful this place is. Stop time around 20 minutes.

PILEH WALL – optional

This snorkeling spot is optional and depends on the experience level of the guests and the conditions of the water.

  • Pileh Wall is a reef ranging from a steep wall dropping to about 20 meters to a gentle sloping reef that ranges from a few meters down to 12 meters. Here guests can see all kinds of amazing sea life. This stop is around 45 minutes.

Difficulty level: Medium to Low

PILEH REEF FLAT – optional

This snorkeling spot is the alternative if PILEH WALL is not suitable. This is an amazing reef with shallow corals that live on the reef flat.

  • It is common to see parrotfish, anemonefish, longtoms, snappers, small groupers, soldierfish, wrasse, butteflyfish and many others at this location.

LOH SAMAH BAY

En route around the island we visit Loh Samah Bay. This small bay is at the southern-most point of Phi Phi Ley Island and boasts a small pretty beach and has it’s own rocky island just off-shore.
The shallow reef here is suitable for all levels of snorkelers, although bathers should be aware of boat traffic and remain in the safety areas.

MAYA BAY

One of the most popular spots n the world. Maya Bay was made famous by Leonardo Di Caprio when they used this as the location for the film, ‘The Beach’. The beach has been made off-limits by the Department of National Parks but visitors can still visit the bay and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the beach and surrounding cliffs.

PALONG BAY

Palong Bay is our final stop for snorkeling. This bay located on the west side of Phi Phi Ley island is a great spot for finding Hawksbill Turtles and Black tip reef sharks.
The cliffs on the west side are a few hundred feet high offering an incredible backdrop to the final part of this fantastic excursion.

Distance to Dive Sites

Phi Phi Ley is about 20 minutes from Phi Phi Don Island. The two islands are separated by a narrow channel.

Health for Snorkeling

All persons engaging in snorkeling should be of good health. We strongly recommend students check out the medical statement to ensure they are healthy enough to scuba dive. Persons that do have a history of specific illnesses may not be allowed to snorkel.

Experience required

No experience required. Our guests will ensure that everyone is sufficiently briefed on how to use the snorkeling equipment properly.
